The Eastern Dandenong Ranges boasts some of the best walks to explore. You can walk or ride the new Eastern Dandenong Ranges trail taking in views of open spaces, tall eucalypt forests, heritage gardens and patchwork farmland. The walk is 12.5kms in length starting from Emerald or Gembrook.
The summer music series is on every Sunday in February at Emerald Lake Park. Pack a picnic and enjoy the beautiful weather. Whiskey Dram are on today 4th Feb. A rock-folk band, with influences ranging from traditional folk, punk, blues and bluegrass, with a penchant for sea shanties and Australian folk songs.

The Gembrook Market is an indoor/outdoor market located at the Gembrook Community Centre, at the end of Main Street and next to the skate park and Gembrook Leisure Park. A great day out by car with ample parking off Memorial Avenue or by taking the Puffing Billy Railway directly to Emerald station, stop off at The Hills Art Market and pick up a beautiful piece of art, holding memories of your trip. Visit the Kids Art Zone, where there is something for everyone. While enjoying the free music by local musicians and the beauty of the tall mountain ash, ancient pines, good food, great coffee and all that the Emerald village has to offer.
